Halloween Parade
During the month of October, Halloween is only one of the focuses of the children. They do enjoy dressing up in their favorite special costume and sharing songs they have learned since starting school in September. Parents and younger siblings are invited to attend!

Thanksgiving Feast
Even young children can learn to give thanks and share with others. A mini-feast of their favorite Thanksgiving foods are enjoyed along with prayers and learnings of the historical significance of the first Thanksgiving.

Christmas Pageant
Every December, the children share stories and songs in a performance about the celebration of Christmas. Each year is unique and enjoyable for the students, younger siblings and their parents!

Interactive Winter Village
In January, the school prepares a fully interactive village complete with shops and activities sized for the students. They learn how to follow a shopping list, count the pieces (fractions) of a pizza or help take care of an animal in our pretend veterinary's office! They learn about road safety with mini cars and a road complete with town square! A favorite memory of all St. James' Preschool Alumni!

Beach Day & Pajama Day
Take a break from the winter in February with a lazy "bed-time" Pajama Day. Children come to school in their jammies and have a visit from a special guest and teddy bear stories. In March, our children enjoy dressing up for Beach Day. They play games on our pretend board walk, win prizes and create a special craft. The day is complete with lemonade and hot dogs. Children celebrate the coming of the spring and summer after the long winter.

Easter Pageant
Each Spring, the children prepare their very best songs and pageant to share with the parents. It is a vivid memory for all who come to enjoy the show.

Wild West Day
Wild West Day is an American Western themed event including panning for gold, a ride on the pony and pictures at the dude ranch. Children wear their own boots and receive a cowboy or cowgirl hat to complete their image for this Wild event!

Closing Ceremony
In May, the children present one more final show with all of the songs they have learned in the school year. Graduating 4s and pre-K students receive a cermonial diploma and each student receives a keepsake medallion with the St. James Preschool logo engraved with the school year. The last day of school is enjoyed at the Mayor's Playground in Historic Langhorne with waterice and more games to last all summer long.
